No Account Required
EmergAlert does not require registration or login. You can use all features without creating an account, providing an email address, or revealing any personal information to us.
No Backend Server
All data is processed and stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that receive, process, or store your data. There is no database, no user records, and no cloud service associated with this application.
Location Privacy
Your GPS location is used only on-device to detect your current country so the correct emergency numbers are displayed. Your location is never uploaded, transmitted, shared, sold, or used for any purpose other than this local detection. When you use the Check-In feature, you share your location directly with the contacts you choose via SMS or WhatsApp — EmergAlert does not receive or store this information.
Emergency Contacts
Your trusted contacts are stored encrypted on your device using the operating system's secure key storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). This data is never synced, backed up to our servers, or accessible to anyone other than the app running on your device.
Medical & Insurance Data
If you use the Medical Profile or Insurance Card features, that data is encrypted on your device using AES-256 encryption with a key stored in the device's secure enclave. This data never leaves your device. We have no access to it under any circumstances.
No Analytics
We do not use analytics SDKs, crash reporters, usage trackers, or any third-party monitoring tools. We have zero insight into how the app is used, which features are opened, or how often it is launched. This is a deliberate design decision, not an oversight.
No Advertising
EmergAlert is completely free and contains no advertising of any kind. We do not use advertising SDKs, we do not build user profiles, and we do not share any information with advertising networks.
External Applications
EmergAlert may open external applications (Phone, Maps, SMS, WhatsApp, Browser) only when you explicitly tap an action button. These interactions are initiated by you and governed by the respective applications' own privacy policies. No data is automatically sent to any external service without your explicit action.
Data Deletion
All EmergAlert data can be completely and permanently deleted by uninstalling the application. Because we store nothing on external servers, uninstalling the app removes all associated data with no residual records.
